Prolific Brooklynite passes

The Puerto Rican author of 17 novels, Edgardo Vega Yunque, died Wednesday, September 3, according to a report by the Daily News. Vega Yunque, a native of Puerto Rico, moved to New York in the 1940. He lived alone in Brooklyn for most of his life and was the founder of the Clemente Soto Velez Cultural Center in Manhattan.
